After a blissful night on a wonderfully comfortable bed, the day begins full of new possibilities. The scent of freshly baked bread beckons — stop by the bakery for that crunchy roll! Afterward, the choice is yours: wake up leisurely with a good book, take an easy stroll through charming Paleokastro, or set out to explore the surroundings. Whatever you choose, every day here starts with the ultimate vacation feeling.

The holiday home Οίκος Φίλων (pronounced as iekos fielon). Oikos Filon, meaning "House of Friends," is situated in the picturesque village of Paleokastro (Palaiokastro). Within walking distance, you’ll find a bakery, a pharmacy, two cozy neighborhood shops, and two excellent taverns. For larger shopping trips, the supermarkets Bazaar (1.4 km) and Lidl (1.9 km) are nearby.

Introducing ourselves: We are Henni and Kees Bosma

We are a Dutch couple from Gouda with a great love for Greece. After many vacations on various islands, one place always stayed in our hearts: Samos. The peace, the nature, the food, and especially the hospitality of the Greek people felt like coming home.

In 2023, our dream came true: we found our own little house in the charming village of Paleokastro (Palaiokastro). With the help of our dear Greek friends, we turned it into a lovely spot under the sun – our second home.

But that was not the end. Soon a new dream emerged: couldn't we share this unique experience with other lovers of Greece?

And so began our search for a second house. In 2024, we found that special place – once again in Paleokastro.

This home is especially for you: to enjoy everything Samos has to offer, and to experience real Greek village life among our friendly villagers.
